Information Ale production strain. Non-flocculent, 8% alcohol tolerant, low pyruvic, high a-hydroxyglutaric, SG 5.5, pH 3.95 ferments rapidly using maltotriose readily. High ergosterol, occasionally gives propagation trouble, needs new culture prepared frequently, possibly has a CO2 requirement. Contains 2ยต plasmid.
